Setting up a home recording can take a bit of thought to get right. You really need to decide off the bat whether you’re going to be recording a full band or just build up the tracks bit by bit.
In each case you want to have all the equipment you’re going to need to hand so that you don’t have to go searching for an egg shaker right in the middle of your most creative moment.
If possible designate a section of your house for recording projects so that you don’t have to rebuild your studio every time.
