Home recording voice parts for you songs does not have to be a headache. The main thing is that you get hold of a nice dynamic mic.
You may be tempted to save money and work with the Sure sm58 you use for your live work, but trust me as soon as you get yourself a proper vocal recording mic which uses phantom power you will notice the difference right away. I would suggest a Studio Projects B1 mic for a good sound at low budget.
You will also need to borrow a pair of you mothers’ stockings to make a super simple pop shield.
