Home recording acoustics can be tricky because where as the top studios spend thousands making their live rooms perfect, all you have to work with is the sound that’s already available in your home.
But with a bit of imagination you can find the pockets of great sound and make your demos sound like they have been professionally produced.
The key is to work with what you have and to realise that different instruments need a different room, so if you want your drums to sound wide with a lot of space try recording in the garage.
Another thing that will give you good results is to record your vocal in a closet as this is like a ready made vocal booth!
