When I decided to put together an eCourse on home recording a few months ago I just had to add a guide to mixing music.
Mixing is such an integral part of the recording process and is very often overlooked by newbie producers who add so many plug-ins that the mix starts to sounds terrible.
The mixing process for me really starts with the recoding stage where you need to use the best possible sound source. These days I try and use as few FX as possible and mix in a much more natural style like the very old school producers. I would recommend you give this a go as the results as very well received by the listener.
