If you want a really good home studio start off looking online and getting an idea of the type of setup you’re after with the many home studio pictures you can find on Google.
Once you have an idea of what is possible choose a room in your home that will house all your recording gear, then start adding a few well chosen sound proofing elements. Chances are that you will not be able to totally block out the sound so the goal here is to take the edge off and create a better sounding room.
You can then invest as much as you can afford on the sound source and digital audio interface.
